Plant Operator job in Montgomery

In this role you will ensure that our coal fired Power Stations in Nottinghamshire have good quality feed water and that the reverse osmosis and water treatment plant operations are optimised through your knowledge and experience of these specific processes or similar chemical process plant operations.

With a basic understanding of large thermal power station operation you will ensure high levels of plant availability and water through put by performing sampling and testing routines and fault finding in liaison with the maintenance department.You will be responsible for the removal and isolation of plant from service for maintenance and, on completion, the de-isolation and recommissioning of plant.

Your understanding of chemical hazards and safety will help you maintain and monitor chemical dosing systems and monitor , record and take delivery of process chemicals in order to ensure continued availability of plant.

Your previous experience of working with contractors on site will equip you to set people to work safely and provide the appropriate level of supervision whilst they are on site.Your excellent communication skills will ensure you are able to express information verbally in a manner that is concise and accurate.
